Across Canada, universities & industries are working together to generate new & creative ways to put our country at the forefront of emerging knowledge-based world economy.

"Today, the strength of a nation is measured not by the weapons it wields, but by patents it produces; not by the territory it controls, but by the ideas it advances; not only by the wealth of its resources, but by the resourcefullness of its people. In such a world, successful nations will only be those that foster a culture of innovation. They will be those that create new knowledge & bring the product of that knowledge quickly to market. Our goal as a nation must be to lead that way." - The Honourable Paul Martin, P.C., M.P., Minister of Finance, February 2000

The Synergy award is a national competition organized jointly by NSERC & The Conference Board of Canada. The award recognizes effective collaboration between universities & industry. While competition in the power utility industry is aggressive, the APT Power Technologies product line remains a world class competitor with a growing global customer base. The national recognition is a credit to the entire APT team who continue to maintain APT's industry leading profile as an innovative provider of products & solutions to the global electric utility market.
